About Us
In 1956 my mother, Tressie Lynch, and my Aunt, Lucille Hardin, started one of the first daycare centers in the state of West Virginia, The Tiny Tyke DayCare, in Westover. It grew so much that the two sisters, who lived side by side, divided the children into two age groups with my mother taking the 2's and 3's and my Aunt the 4's and 5's. In 1972 I began working with my mother until her retirement in 1984. At that time Donnie, my husband, and I purchased a house on Ellen Lane and I ventured out on my own. My Aunt retired in 1997 after 40 years of wonderful service for the children in our community. My mother passed away in July 1998 at the age of 94.
I have a great staff. Most of the them have been together for more than 20 years. They do a wonderful job and I am thankful for their commitment.
